SAVE OUR SEAFOOD
Salam and hi y'all

PLEASE SUPPORT SAVE OUR SEAFOOD CAMPAIGN

Malaysia’s first sustainable seafood guide
WWF-Malaysia and Malaysian Nature Society have collaborated to present Malaysia’s first ever seafood guide to responsible seafood lovers to empower them to make informed decisions towards choosing sustainable seafood, which means seafood that is caught and farmed responsibly and is not detrimental to our environment.

The bilingual guide in English and Bahasa Malaysia provides an insight into the sustainability of the 50 most popular Malaysian seafood species. The species are sorted into three colour-coded categories: Recommended (Green), Think Twice (Yellow) and Avoid (Red).

Your choice of seafood today will determine the future of our fish stocks and the health of our oceans and its marine life. Use your power as a consumer to determine the future of our marine environment and download the guide now - taken from here.

Miss Laze-a-lot
my motivation's left me
I can't get out of bed
too lazy to lift a finger
even to scratch my head

I didn't do anything yesterday
or the day before that
just lounged around and ate corn chips
getting really freaking fat

my hair is nappy and tangled
I should go take a shower
been rapt in a Law and Order marathon
for the past eleven hours

I thought about doing something
but the thingking made me tired
I've called out of work four days in a row
so I'm pretty sure I'm fired

I just don't want to do anything
anything at all
my laziness has killed my drive
and my enthusiasm, hit a wall

so I might as well procrastinate
yet another day
and keep on doing nothing
and let LAZY have it's way.......

I guessed in malay they called it ikan pekasam or may be I wrong, not so sure.

To cook this ikan panggi is easy just fry it and the outcome may not fancy the eyes but the taste is marvellous hahaha for me lah.

World Oceans Day - 8th June 2010
STICKY MODE POST - please scroll down for new entry (^_^)

Salam and hi y'all

Oceans of Life

Pick your Favorite * Protect your Favorite

Each of us relies on a healthy ocean with a rich diversity of life to provide most of the oxygen we breathe, much of the food we eat, as well as medicines and other essentials that we need to survive. The greater the diversity of life in the ocean, the better job the ocean can do in helping maintain the planet’s normal climate conditions.

Seas the Day!  What kind of ocean do you want to leave for your children and grandchildren? By modifying simple things we do every day, we can positively impact the future of our world ocean. We can all help motivate people to take conservation action, and together, we can make a real difference!

Here are just a few ways we can do our part to protect our blue planet:
The Seven C's for Ocean Conservation:
Commit to making a real difference
Aim to be carbon neutral this year by reducing your energy consumption and offsetting the rest.

Conserve in your home
Upgrade to “greener” appliances and install compact fluorescent light bulbs.

Consume consciously
Rethink what you “need”, purchase “green” products, and buy locally grown foods and sustainable seafood.

Communicate your interests and concerns
Share your concerns about a healthy ocean with your friends, family, colleagues, and the local media.

Challenge yourself daily
It’s not always easy but try to walk, bike, carpool, and take public transportation to cut down your coral-reef harming carbon emissions.

Connect in your community
Meet new friends and make a difference by getting active as a volunteer with a local watershed or ocean group.

Celebrate our ocean!
Take part in a World Oceans Day activity near you or plan your own for June 8th.
